Jacob L. Rowell Digital Arts Scholarship

The Jacob L. Rowell Digital Arts Scholarship was established to recognize scholastic and artistic achievement, to encourage continued progress and to provide assistance to students in financing their education.

Eligibility:
Must be an undergraduate student pursing a Digital Arts degree;
Must demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA;
Must submit a quality portfolio for review; see instructions below:
Portfolio Instructions:
1. Submit your best examples of any form of digital arts through slideroom.
2. Submit a short statement (300 words or less) that covers:
· A general statement about your approach to art and the kind of things you make
· Your career goals
Go to https://bgsu.slideroom.com/#/permalink/program/59671 and make a slideroom account before you can submit a portfolio. The minimum is three works, but not more than 12 works. Note: You may optionally submit links to external sites containing your portfolio or other artwork. Note: For interactive works supply a screengrab of a walkthrough, executable code or a link to a website. Large files of animation, video, sound art or documentation of an installation require that you submit an external link to the Youtube, or Vimeo site.
The portfolio may contain:
· Digital imaging and digital photography
· Images produced with computer programming
· 3-D models rendered out
· Character design
· Concept art
· Interactive works
· Video
· 3D, 2D and stop motion animation
· Installation (include photos and/or videos of installation)
· Immersive works (include video walkthrough and/or stills)
· Sound art works
· Physical computing (include video or photos of work)
· Multi-disciplinary work including digital arts (not listed above)
