Thompson Working Family Transfer Scholarship

The Robert and Ellen Thompson Scholarship Program is designed to assist students from working families who may struggle with the cost of higher education. Students receiving this scholarship are awarded $5,500 from the Thompson Foundation based on financial need and academic performance.

The Thompson Working Family Transfer Scholarship is open to students who are transferring to BGSU for the Fall 2022 semester. Students selected for this scholarship should be on track to complete their degree in two years (four semesters) at BGSU. Students should have at least 45 earned credit hours with a 3.00 or greater transfer GPA at the time of application. Community service is also an important aspect of this scholarship program and you must be willing to meet consistently with your scholarship advisor. Students must have a completed 2022-23 FAFSA on file with BGSU by July 15.

Note: Early submission of transcripts (including in-progress hours) help us better evaluate your eligibility for this scholarship.
