Margaret P. Close Scholarship

The Margaret P. Close Scholarship was established as an incentive for incoming first year students at BGSU to select the specialization of risk and insurance management within the Allen W. and Carol M. Schmidthorst College of Business.

Eligibility:
Must be enrolled as a full-time student;
Must demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA.
First preference will be given to an incoming freshman who has declared a specialization or minor in Insurance and Risk Management. Should there be no eligible incoming freshmen, the scholarship may be given to a sophomore or junior with the Insurance and Risk Management specialization or minor.
Second preference will be given to a student who has demonstrated leadership or service in their community.
