Gillespie Family Scholarship

The Gillespie Family Scholarship was established to support students in the College of Education during their student teaching year.

Eligibility:
Must be majoring in Adolescence to Young Adult Education with a specialization in Language Arts or Social Studies;
Must be entering their “professional year” of methods or student teaching.
For Language Arts specializations, preference will be given to students who have indicated interest in completing methods and student teaching at 1) Lakota Local Schools in Kansas, OH, or 2) a rural school district in Hancock or Wood counties, OH or 3) any rural school district in Ohio.
For Social Studies specializations, preference will be given to students who have indicated interest in completing methods and student teaching at 1) Lakota Local Schools in Kansas, OH, or 2) a Career Technical Center, or 3) a rural school district in Hancock or Wood counties, OH, or 4) any rural school district in Ohio.
