Hazel Smith Memorial Scholarship for Commuter Students

The Hazel H Smith Memorial Scholarship for Commuter Students is available to a full-time BGSU student not living in the residence halls. This scholarship is awarded in memory of Hazel H Smith, a former BGSU student who was instrumental in the evolution of an area that would be known as the Off-Campus Student Center. On April 14, 1989, the program was named in her honor. In 2002, the program moved to its new location in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union and was renamed Off-Campus Student Services.
