Cynthia Collin Stong Marine Biology Scholarship

Scholarship intended to provide support to Marine Biology students participating in field studies.

Eligibility: Preference given to rising sophomores and juniors; must be enrolled in the Marine and Aquatic Biology Specialization.

Criteria: Preference given to rising sophomores and juniors; must be enrolled in the Marine and Aquatic Biology Specialization.
Must be participating in approved field programs at marine stations; freshwater stations will be considered.
Preference given to students planning to take courses during the entire ten-week summer field program at The University of Southern Mississippi’s Gulf Coast Research Laboratory in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, which is affiliated with Bowling Green State University.
To be considered an approved off-campus field program, it must provide a course grade and credit that will count toward the recipient’s graduation requirements.
Must submit names and email addresses of two faculty members willing to provide letters of recommendation on applicant’s behalf.
Must submit written final report and make formal presentation to current and/or potential BGSU marine biology students about the benefit of their experience.
